Research: Understand How Groups of Media Artifacts Link - The Fault In Our Stars

Introduction to A2 first challenge:
We had to choose a main media text and I chose film, from there I had to decide what film and I went for The Fault In Our Stars as it has a lot of hype and publcity around it at the minute as it has just been released, also because it was originally a book which has now been adapted into a film. Now, I had to find three or more related products in different genres which would show the links between different media artifacts, I chose a magazine cover, a poster, a teaser trailer and a website for the film.

In this presentation I needed to include the main product and how the other products in the campaign or promotion relate and link, how the conventions of the genres are met or challenged, who the target audience is, which below and above the line advertising is used and what method of persuasion is used, evidence of intertextuality and borrowed interest, any brand identity that I think has been promoted, audience theory, exhibition and distribution processes that are used, and how they are made attractive and memorable to the audience.
